DoubleTake is a classroom response tool for everyday teaching. It lets you ask questions during class, see student responses in real time, and give students a structured way to revise their answers after discussion or after class.
You can ask the question however you normally teach: on a slide, on the board, verbally, through a demonstration, or from an existing activity. Students open the class link on a phone or laptop and choose an answer.
There is no special clicker to buy, distribute, or keep track of.
Answers appear as they come in. You can use the results to decide whether to move on, explain something differently, ask students to discuss with a neighbor, or revisit a misconception.
After discussion, students can submit a revised answer. They can also complete a resubmission after class, depending on the settings you choose.
For resubmissions, students explain their reasoning. DoubleTake keeps the original answer, the revised answer, and the explanation, so the change in thinking becomes part of the record.
Ordinary clickers are useful for taking a quick snapshot of student understanding. DoubleTake keeps that snapshot, but also records what happens next: discussion, reconsideration, explanation, and revision.
